Community rules and how moderation works

Community rules and how moderation works

Who can post, what the filters stop before publication and how reports are handled.

The Dose Club community is for adults. Everyone confirms they are 18 or over when they create an account, and the community is rated 18+ in both app stores. Anyone can read without an account. Posting, commenting and reporting need one.

Before a post is published

Automated filters run on every post and comment before it appears. They hold back:

  • links and codes that pay the person posting them
  • offers to sell, source or supply medicines, including products sold as research peptides
  • contact details such as phone numbers and messaging handles
  • pro-eating-disorder terms

Links from accounts less than seven days old are held for a moderator to look at before they go live. Everything else from a new account publishes normally.

Reports and blocks

Every post, comment and profile has a report button and a block button. Reports go to a moderation queue and are answered within 24 hours. Blocking hides a member's posts and comments from you.

Rooms

Rooms are organised by medicine (Mounjaro, Wegovy and the tablets) and by stage of treatment: starting out, titrating, maintenance and stopping. The same thread appears on the website and in the app.

Support

If eating or weight is becoming a source of distress, Beat, the UK eating disorder charity, runs a helpline on 0808 801 0677 in England. The link to Beat appears in the community rules, in the app's settings and on any post a moderator flags.

Questions about moderation go to community@thedoseclub.com.
